The day of the proposal I had no idea. Joe mention to me that later we will have date night. I did not think anything of it, as we had not gone out in a very long time. A month prior I gave birth to our daughter, Zaria. I thought to be myself, "It's about time this man took me out." Not knowing this night would change my life forever. Later in the day he started acting weird. Asking me random questions, like "Don't you need somethig from the mall? or Why don't you go check in on your mom" I shruged it off. Finally i went to my mother's to drop Zaria off came back to the house to pick joe up. But he was already outside waiting for me. Strange? We had dinner and enjoyed a bottle of wine. We went back to the house, I opened the door. My head full with questions. What is this man up to? Why is the house full of candles and rose petals. Did he do something? Does he feel bad for not giving me attention? I walked in the room and began to cry, thats when it hit me. He was proposing. I could not belive it. I screamed for joy

I went to Darcell's Mom and brother for her hand in Marriage. Her family opened me with welcoming arms and told me, go for it! For months i pondered how i was going to propose to Darcell. Asking everyone in my family for ideas. Nothing seemed to sound right. But i thought "I should remake our first date." Preparing for that day was stressful. I wanted everything to be perfect. I needed Darcell out the house but for some reason she would not catch on to my hints. Finally she left, and i hurried to prepare the house with rose petals and candles. I even used stencils to place on the wall that read out "Darcell will you marry me" . When we arrived at the restuarnt that we had our first date, that is when it hit me.  That i was going to propose to my future wife. After dinner instead of doing a movie i decided to go back to the house. I had Darcell open the door and as she walked in she was met with rose petals and candles. As she was walking up the stairs i could'nt but think if she will say yes to me. When we reached the room and she seen the ring and flowers i felt scared and thought she would think my jestture was fake. She said yes and the rest was history.
