Bride

We had talked about "when we're married" but we had never talked about actually getting married. So it was a complete surprise when he DID propose. Tares told me that we were taking a ferry ride downtown to "meet his co-worker's girlfriend". It was a cold morning and I was trying to stand close to him for warmth, but he kept moving away so that I wouldn't notice the ring box in his pocket. ;) After a few minutes of a confused waltz, the ferry finally showed up.

As we approached our destination, he suggested we take a picture together and I jumped at the opportunity because I'm usually the one pushing for touristy photos. He then dropped to one knee, presented the ring and asked me to marry him!

After I said yes, (of course), we walked downstairs and to my surprise our families were boarding the ship to celebrate with champagne in hand! Needless to say it was perfect, and it made me so happy to have my family included in such a special moment.

We spent the rest of the evening sharing our excitement over Thai food and drinks. Later that night Tares and I slipped away to Central Park for a horse and carriage ride followed by a hotel stay at the Le Parker Meridian. It was wonderful, and one of the happiest days of my life <3
