Like many contemporary New Yorkers, we met on a dating app. (Thanks Coffee Meets Bagel!) After we both "swiped right" and exchanged a few messages, we set up our first date at a beer garden in Astoria, Queens. When one drink turned into dinner and hours of conversation, we knew there was a real connection. We said goodnight and texted plans for our second date as we stood on opposite sides of the subway platform. It was a real movie moment!

On their dates, Tares combed through New York City to find soy free, vegan cuisine options for Abby. She warned him that it would be hard to find food that meets her restrictions, but he was not deterred. 

It was obvious that we both love to travel and after only a few weeks of dating, we booked our first trip to Barbados! After a blissful weekend of sunsets and swimming with sea turtles, we knew this was just the beginning. 2016/17 turned out to be a year of love for some of our closest friends and families as well, as we travelled to six weddings in our first year as a couple. Since our first trip to Barbados, we've traveled to Denmark, California, Oregon, DC, Japan, Iceland, Canada, Costa Rica and more.

Having a destination wedding is something we have always wanted and we couldn't be happier to celebrate in beautiful Jamacia with all of you!
