Updated 01/06/19:

We will be hosting a "rehersal" dinner on the Hyatt Zilara beach for all of our guests the night before the wedding - 03/07/19 - at 7:30pm. We will be contacting everyone individually about their menu choices for this event but the selections will be:

  • Appetizer:
    • Classic Onion Soup with Gruyere Cheese Croutons
  • Entree Selections (Choose One):
    • Slow Cooked New York Steak, Honey Bourbon Butter, & Vegetable Roll - Spices Sauce
    • Grilled Duck Breast with Mashed Potatoes & Asparagus - Orange Sauce
    • Miso Glazed Salmon Filet with Spinach, Miso Mushroom Broth, & Green Onions
  • Dessert:
    • Chocolate Mille-Feuille with Amarena Cherry Cream

As mentioned in the previous update, with the limited number of guests, we will not be hosting a dance party at the hotel(s). Instead, we will be having the beach "rehersal" dinner for everyone (described above) and possibly a celebration directly after the wedding at the famous Club CocoBongo for the younger crowd (tables 3 & 4). The CocoBongo deal has not been finalized yet, so please stay tuned for more information regarding this other event.

Updated 07/21/18:

On the day of the wedding - March 08, 2019 - we will have a one hour cocktail hour at 6:00pm which is right after the ceremony. The cocktail hour's menu includes:

  • Fried Pork Belly Tortitas
  • Mini Tuna & Chipotle Tostadas
  • Mini Beef Wellingtons with Mushrooms

After the cocktail hour, we will have a four-course, served reception. The menu for the reception includes:

  • Cream of Corn with Coconut and Truffle Foam
  • Watermelon Salad with Goat Cheese
  • Beef Filet in Red Wine Butter with Herb Risotto or Grilled Mahi Mahi with Pumpkin Au Gratin and Wild Rice
  • Vanilla Hazelnut Cream Cake or Vanilla Peach Cream Cake

With it being a small wedding of 40 people or less, we will not be hosting a dance party at the hotel, but instead are looking to plan a memorable activity everyone can enjoy on Thursday, March 07, 2019 - the day before the wedding.
