Welcome to our wedding website!

Please use this site as your guide to all things #thedarks2023. We’re counting down the days until we can all celebrate together in incredible Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We would love for you to fly out to witness us say “I do” in a place that we have always dreamed of. We couldn't picture our wedding anywhere else. We hope to see you all in March 2023!

 

Our Story

Way back in September 2009, I packed up my bags and moved to Bournemouth to begin my nursing degree.

Just over a month later, on the day of Halloween I attended a friends wedding and a certain someone caught my eye whilst sat in the registry office service. 

The wedding party then moved to the venue for the breakfast buffet, where I just had to find out who he was. 
Yes you've guessed it......Rikki Dark!

We then retired for the afternoon to return for the evening reception, where I eagerly looked out for him.
I didn't see him again, I was later to find out he had over indulged in the morning celebrations!

I returned to Bournemouth to find a Facebook notification...a friend request from the man himself. We spoke every day, and fast forward to 19th December 2009 we finally met properly at a mutual friends birthday party.

Since that day we have barely been apart. We never actually had an official date. For us it was that moment we first met eachother as we both knew this was our forever.

We made that date our anniversary ❤ 

Almost 12 years later we are still in Bournemouth with a home of our own. Raising two beautiful children who make up our universe, Reece and Ariah, and not forgetting the fur babies! 

We can’t wait to be surrounded by family and friends on one of the most special days of our lives. Thank you to everyone who will be attending whether that be the Carribean or the UK. Here’s to the adventures ahead!
