Our Love Story 

Ebenezer, known as Noo, and Cassandra, lovingly called Cassy, crossed paths in 2004 at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Cassandra, a spirited individual, was the coach of the UIC intramural basketball team, the Noonoos, for two seasons. During their time at UIC, Noo and Cassy's lives took different paths, with occasional glimpses of each other on campus.

Fast forward 15 years ...

It was a spring day in 2019, the air filled with the energy of the city. Noo and Cassy, both immersed in their respective conference calls, found themselves standing at the bustling corner of Madison and Wells. In a moment of pause, their eyes met, and they exchanged a brief wave before continuing with their days, oblivious to the twist of fate that had just brought them together.

That evening, Noo was home with a bottle of his favorite whiskey, replaying the interaction. After an hour of pacing back and forth, contemplating what to say, and a little liquid courage, he DM'd her on Instagram. He typed "Hi" and quickly sent the message. To this day, he swears he sent a suave message.

Cassy's Instagram notification dinged, and she saw a new message from Noo. Her heart skipped a beat as she smiled and opened the message, her curiosity piqued. She chuckled at his intro, charmed by his straightforwardness, and then proceeded to respond. She was a little gitty since she always found him attractive, but she played it cool, her heart brimming with joy.

From that day forward, Ebenezer and Cassandra's story began to unfold, filled with love, laughter, traveling, and the bright promise of a future together, a future that held endless possibilities and shared dreams.
