Attire for Wedding

Semi-Formal Beach Attire: While the wedding is at a beach resort, the actual ceremony and reception will not be on the sandy beach. 

Additional information:

Keep in mind the wedding will be completely outdoors (if the weather permits, if not we will be moved into an indoor ballroom). We suggest wearing light, breathable fabrics. It can get a bit chilly in the evening, so we'd recommend a jacket or a wrap.

The cliffside and rooftop tend to be windy.

Typical weather in mid-October for Cancun ranges from 85'F-75'F degrees, humid and breezy.

Don't forget to bring sunscreen, swimming goggles, pool floaties (there is a place in the resort that will fill them with air for you for a small fee).

Even though Hyatt Ziva is an all inclusive hotel, we recommend bringing small bills in case you'd like to tip the staff/drivers.    

Mandatory wedding day passes

Unfortunately, for those guests staying outside of the Hyatt Ziva there is a mandatory wedding day pass that needs to be purchased in order to enter the Hotel. The cost is $160 per person and is valid 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony scheduled time and valid until the end of wedding reception. We fought the hotel about these charges, but they are pretty strict on their rules. If you have questions or concerns, contact Joe or Angie through their cell.  

All offsite guests who purchase a wedding day pass are required to leave a credit card on file.
