Schedule of Events

We're so grateful to be able to host you all for an extended weekend in such a magical place. We would love you to participate in as many activities as possible, but we hope you will also make the most out of your vacation and choose-your-own-adventure!

Agave Distillates Tasting at El Agave (optional)

Learn how to properly taste varying agave distillates such as Tequila and Mezcal with Fernando, the in-house Master Tequilier. Experience an array of agave based spirits with food pairings, as well as custom cocktails, while learning the tasting notes and history of each agave distillate. This is an extra cost for our wedding guests. $60 USD pp + tax. An experience not to be missed for those who appreciate tequila and its relatives and love to learn! We will send the RSVP for the Agave Distillates Tasting in the coming months via email. This is also an add on you could do on your own time at 6:30 PM MT each day on the property.

Welcome Drinks at El Mirador (required)

A chance for everyone to come together, meet and celebrate the fun weekend ahead! This area is first come, first served and just outside of Dozo, the Japanese restaurant. Be sure to pick up your gift bag at this event from our wedding coordinator, Martha, which includes your nametag, so we can all identify who is a part of our group and begin to learn each other's names. The martinis here are excellent, or feel free to request one of their wonderful mocktails! No need to RSVP - come by any time between 5 PM - 6:30 PM before we go to Dozo!

Welcome Dinner at Dozo (optional)

Dozo features Teppanyaki tables that can accommodate large parties, and is one of the only restaurants that takes reservations at the resort. However, these reservations are only accepted day of. RSVP details to come!

Wedding Rehearsal at the Gazebo (wedding party)

Only Wedding Party requested

Rehearsal Dinner at El Agave (wedding party + family)

A small get together for the wedding party and close family of the bride and groom, featuring an open bar and taco station (choice of corn & flour tortillas, carne asada, lemon chicken, grilled fish, roasted garlic, caramelized onions, lettuce, jalapeño, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, pepper jack, cheddar cheese), alongside other surprises.

*Wedding Ceremony at the Gazebo* (required - dress code)

Join us at the Gazebo overlooking Central Beach for a romantic ceremony led by bilingual wordsmith Christin Eve Cato. The seating is on the grass and directly exposed to sunlight, though sunset is around 5:30 PM. There will be a self serve water station that will also have tea and sparkling wine, and the musician will begin playing around 4:45 PM. IMPORTANT: please wear neutral colors such as beige, gold, tan, cream, white (yes *gasp*!), champagne, etc. We're going for a white out effect for our photos and your participation is appreciated! The dress code is beach formal. The wind is supposed to be chilly, so bringing a jacket or wrap is a smart idea.

Cocktail Hour at Zaffiro Beach (required)

Join us at Zaffiro Beach for an assortment of hors d'oeuvres and signature cocktails accompanied by a Mexican Trio prior to the formal reception.

Reception at Zaffiro Beach (required)

Enjoy a sit down three course meal + wedding cake with your toes in the sand of Zaffiro Beach while listening to the sounds of the Sea of Cortez. We'll celebrate with dancing under the stars until 9:30 PM, when we take the party back inside the resort. There will be a vinyl dance floor, but otherwise we will be braving the elements in the sand (this will primarily be at your table or when you go up to the bar for a drink). We'll have a shoe check, but feel free to prepare accordingly! Please be sure to RSVP with your entree of choice! This will be printed on your place card, so be sure to choose wisely (we recommend the fish!!!).

Reception After Party (optional)

Join us at El Piano Lobby Bar where we'll convince them to let Ben play piano or any of our talented musicians sing or play. Then once we get tired of that scene, we'll make our way to Spirit of 1968 to play pool and enjoy weird Americana in Mexico until 1 AM!

Grab a Coffee with the Bride + Groom (optional)

We'd love a chance to say a quick goodbye and thank you for joining us for our special day all the way in the Baja! We'll set up camp at the Coffee House near the lobby from 11 AM - 12 PM for coffee and pastries.

Will we see you there?
