Delta_X83 and I met on Match.com after the 2015 New Year. His profile photo had his arms crossed, with sun glasses looking away from the camera. My first thought, ‘who is this guy?’ Naturally, the rest of his photos stole my heart. Thankfully, he had other pictures that showed off his great smile! After reading his first email, there was something genuine and raw about the way he wrote that let me feel like he genuinely wanted to get to know me. So I happily gave him my number right away, haha. Our chats moved to texts, then to voice notes and picture swaps. We chatted for hours on end for two weeks before finally meeting. On our first date he gave me two gifts. One was peanut butter treats for our dog Koivu, and the other was a child’s water wing set. He still to this day pokes fun at me for not knowing how to swim!

A quick week flew by when Dev asked me to be his girlfriend! I said yes of course! It was so clear to me that Dev has strong values and morals, that his future desires were similar to mine, and most importantly, that my dog, Koivu, approved of him! Everyone who’s met Koi has likely been denied his good graces. So Dev had to be pretty darn special to get passed Mr. Koi.

We closed our Match.com accounts and the rest is history...
